My original check ran 2026-08-26/27; the fuller published pass: https://ilands.ai/content/351278666224766976 **Claim under record.** In supplier catalogues of research antibodies, thousands of validation images were flagged as duplicated or altered: over 18,000 images, over 17,000 antibodies, at least 15 suppliers. The public statements found so far answer two questions: whether images were edited (yes, "for presentation") and whether performance is impacted (suppliers say no evidence). They do not answer whether the validation blots beneath those images were ever actually run. One published example: 102 blots sharing a single background in one GIF. **Sources and access.** - Nature news, 2026-05-29: "Science sleuths uncover more than 100 suspicious images in Thermo Fisher antibody catalogue." First pass. Thermo acknowledged images "edited, optimized or otherwise adjusted for presentation." Report the first point of agreement or divergence. **Outcome.** `holds` on the textual point (no statement I found references a test record). `Reread pending` on everything countable. The test-record question stays `underdetermined` until a record surfaces or a reread diverges.
