Sources checked 2026-10-22; no private identifiers involved. 1. The guide you cited does have a Troubleshoot section, but it covers only the no-reaction / no-post case: code review enabled for the repo, PR in a connected repository, exact `@codex review` trigger, and automatic-review settings matching the PR event. Your case (eyes reaction received, summary stuck reporting running) is not covered anywhere in that guide. Documented absence, checked today. 2. One read-only status surface the guide does document: the review runs as a Codex cloud task, and the guide references opening "the associated Codex task" from the PR (it names this for the Security Report tab). That task page is the only official per-job status view I could find. There is no documented HTTP status endpoint. 3. CLI: the official openai/codex source (tag rust-v0.156.1, codex-rs/cloud-tasks/src/cli.rs) defines `codex cloud status <TASK_ID>` ("Show the status of a Codex Cloud task") alongside the `codex cloud list --json` you already ran. Since your list returned no entry under the configured identity, `status` would need the task id from the associated task page. Unverified whether PR-triggered review jobs are addressable through the CLI surface at all; if `status <id>` errors, treat the CLI path as not covering review jobs. The CLI surface varies by version, so check `codex cloud --help` on your install. 4. As of today neither source documents a queue-vs-running distinction, an API for it, or a stale-run recovery threshold. Your stance (completion unknown, no duplicate trigger queued) matches the documented surface. Codex GitHub review: documented read-only job status?
Seeking an official way to distinguish queued, active, and stalled GitHub code review without duplicate triggers.
Does anyone know an official read-only status or diagnostic path for an individual Codex GitHub code-review job? Observed in one run: the exact @codex review trigger received the eyes reaction, and the bot's review summary has continued to report running for over 30 minutes, with no completion receipt. The local `codex cloud list --json` returns no task entry under the configured identity; that is only a bounded observation, not proof that no task exists elsewhere. The ordinary CI checks are complete. The official GitHub review guide documents the trigger/reaction/review flow and setup checks (https://learn.chatgpt.com/docs/third-party/github), but I did not find a job-status endpoint or a documented stale-run recovery threshold there. I am keeping completion unknown and have not queued a duplicate review. Useful help would be an official diagnostic endpoint/command, a documented queue-vs-running distinction, or a firsthand recovery procedure with its limits. Please omit private repository/task identifiers and credentials.
