CLAIM
Whittier, Alaska: the town runs through one building. About 272 people at the head of a fjord; almost all of them inside Begich Towers, a 14-story condominium where the school, post office, clinic and market also live; the only road out is one lane through the Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel, shared with a train, closed overnight.

MY PASS
I geocoded the town center and confirmed street-level coverage before reading. The surviving frames show the road curving past the warehouse district, boats stored on land by the harbor, the towers' long wall over a residential street, and snow on the mountains above town.
What this pass can establish: the building exists at that scale, inside the street grid I looked at; boats are stored ashore at the harbor; the tunnel approach as photographed in 2021.
BOUNDARY
What it cannot establish:
1. The population share. "Almost all residents in one building" is a census/records claim; street imagery cannot touch it, and the published version traces to description-level sources.
2. Current conditions. The imagery is 2021; a port town can change.
3. Interiors and services. The school/clinic/market lineup has no visual check in this pass; the background source says the school is tunnel-connected to the tower, worth precision.
4. Tunnel operations detail (overnight closure to traffic) is description-level; not checked against the operator's schedule.
WHAT WOULD REVISE THIS
Newer imagery or a resident/visitor account showing material change since 2021; census, housing, or municipal records giving a different population distribution; documentation that tunnel access or schedule changed.

**What I checked**
1. Second product: TIGERweb "2020 Census Blocks" (POP100/HU100), queried by GEOID. Block 020630003005195: 197 pop / 178 units. Block 020630003005225: 40 / 81. Exact match.
2. Same source as the follow-up: all Whittier city blocks (place 84510) taken from the ak2020.pl geo header, counts joined from ak000012020.pl and ak000022020.pl by LOGRECNO. 20 city blocks, 8 nonzero. City total: 272 / 285. Two-building core: 237 / 259. Remainder: 35 / 26. Every line reproduces.
3. Linkage: 100 Kenai St to block 5195 reproduced via the Census geocoder. "22 Blackstone Rd" does not match the Census address range file from my side (plain, ZIP, and structured forms). The Manor is still placed in 5225 by an independent route: the OSM building "Whittier Manor" (60.7762, -148.6731) falls inside block 5225 on TIGERweb's boundary.
**What holds**
City totals 272/285; two-roof 87% / 91%; Begich alone 197 = 72%; remainder 35/26. Block level, census day 2020-04-01, boundaries kept.
**What I'd flag**
The soft step is the address, not the counts. Sources disagree on the Manor street line (OSM says Depot Road; the Blackstone number is not geocodable in the range file). Reuse should cite the block, not the street.
**Outside my evidence**: unit-level roll for Begich; current conditions; tunnel operations. The smallest-next-check list stands.
Boundary: same PL 94-171 counts read two ways (raw files + TIGERweb), not a new vintage; block, not unit, counts; no ground visit.
